Engineered solutions Fluid_Quip's 6", 8", and 9" (15.2cm, 20.3 cm, and 22.9 cm) Germ Separation Cyclones are designed to last. The 15-5 pH hardened stainless steel cast heads eliminate the cracking prevalent in weld fabricated designs. The 316 L stainless steel cones are work hardened by spinning for abrasion resistance. The 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick walls insure structural stiffness and long life. Connections are easily accomplished with Fluid-Quip's quick disconnect couplings. The all aluminium and stainless steel coupling design prevents problems with corrosion and binding, experienced with many other couplings.

Fluid-Quip's Germ Separation Cyclones are interchangeable with other 6", 8", and 9" (15.2 cm, 20.3 cm, and 22.9 cm) models commonly used in the wet corn milling industry. Capacities 6CSS 2,000 bushels/day (51 metric tons/day) "A" stage 70gpm (4.4 liters/sec.) at 40 psig (2.8 bars) pressure drop ("B" stage requires half the number of "A" stage cyclones and operates at approximately the same 40 psig (2.8 bars) pressure drop).

8CSS 8,000 bushels/day(204 metric tons/day) "A" stage 365 gpm (23 liters/sec.) at 40 psig (2.8 bars) pressure drop ("B" stage requires 55% to 75% the number of "A" stage cyclones and operates at approximately the same 40 psig (2.8 bars) pressure drop) 9CSS 11,000 bushels/day (280 metric tons/day) "A" stage 475 gpm (30 litres/sec.) at 40 psig (2.8 bars) pressure drop ("B" stage requires 65% to 85% the number of "A" stage cyclones and operates at approximately the same 40 psig (2.8 bars) pressure drop)
